In many tantric traditions a practitioner learns to generate and circulate psychic-heat or inner-heat in the subtle body. In vedic tradition this is called Tapas and in Tibetan Tantric Buddhisum, Tummo. And like any fire its strength is not defined by the size of wood (i.e., body) but by the flow of wind (i.e. inner-wind). Siddha’s call inner-heat: Chandalai – the fierce woman. She dissolves ego-clinging or our holding on to sense of separate identity.
